Birthday Month = A month of self-pampering ~ Weekend 1
After a long postponement, i realize there is really a need to “clean up” the mess off my hair! (not to forget after being summoned by my bf) “Aren’t you gonna do something about it?” I would say is about 2 months ago?
I checked out the price with my usual hairdresser and they quoted me about RM327 after my birthday discount of 20% (straightening of new hair growth + treatment) which got me thinking twice to do it or not. Its pretty expensive, cos is not like the full length rebonding.
After waiting and thinking for some time, i did not regret doing it later, as i looked around and keeping my eye on the lookout, there were a number of saloons offer pretty cheap rebonding service even in shopping malls (1U new wing) but off coz for a limited time only.
Then in SS15, saw it few times but only manage to stop by to really check it out yesterday to ensure it wasn’t a gimmick and for real! RM150 for rebonding + treatment! Where to get honey? Got his card, and made an appointment the next day. The price is quite unbelievable, though the touch service is not that gentle and not a professional touch, though they claim they are but the end results was satisfactory.
This is picture was taken after a hair wash, blow drying and application of the Shiseido straightening cream, which through my experience has been the best working straightening cream for my hair type (naturally curly). Then you gotta wait for 30 mins, but due to my hair is very curly, so we have you wait another 10 mins. (just in case its too stubborn-which it has been for 20+ years)
While waiting i took some photos, just to kill some time.
It was actually the poster on my left. I started to sit there since 3.30pm, expecting to done by 7pm latest. But it took longer than that. (tho on the phone the hair stylist says its just 2 and a half hours)
After 40mins of waiting and reading, its time to wash away the cream, there was a slight pain of hair pulling during the washing, due to it was a guy handling my head and he was less gentle than a lady would normally do it. He also did it a little bit differently where he slowly turn my head to one-side and another to make sure it was clean. After washing it was to blow dry, and iron the hair bit by bit. Then application of the neutrilizer to ensure the shape of the hair and wait 10 minutes, then wash. Ok done it is already 7+pm already getting slightly impatient and lethargic. It is now the last step, which is my Free Treatment!
Applied the treatment bit by bit, have my hair all into the steamer, then tighten the front part, so that my face won’t get steam too and not steam water drip unto my face nor forehead. Good!
But the funny thing was…my head was in stim!
Its so cartoonish, so i took the opportunity to do funny face to take this photo with the effects on the background, haha, this proofs how bored i was. 10mins later it was wash and blow dry and i’m outta here!
Ok, after that 5 hours spent in the saloon, from bright afternoon sun till dark evening sky, it was worth it for this smoothly straighten hair at a very good bargain, somore with Free Treatment! This is my first time doing rebonding with treatment at one go, normally the bill comes up to be very expensive and not “very straight” all the time! So i am happy with this result.
Though my hair is kinda dry now after all the chemical, guess i just needed a trim and more treatment. But my virgin hair was smooth and shiny
And most hair in the front are straight. The hairstylist mentioned that it will look very flat for 2 weeks but after washing it should be better. So 3 days cannot wash hair…hehe!
