What if you are physically disable?
Went for brunch at Taipan, USJ. As usual, lunch time, seats were full and it was a hot Sunday afternoon. Found a more cooling place away from the hot glaring sun. While I went ordering food, there came a blind man with his “aid” led by some stranger (prolly some coffeeshop waiter) right to our seat. Well was a little uncomfortable at first, but got myself comfortable. Then the waiter that order drinks came by so we ordered.
His food came (chicken rice; i think he always eats that) Easiest food to maneuver i guess. As the drinks waiter served, mom paid for his and our drinks. He said thanks. Then the waiter stood-by which we felt awkward, so we asked why? He said he was looking at the blindman eat. I am sure the blind man felt uncomfortable too. But anyway we strike up a conversation with him, he is from Malacca, working here a massager, body, foot, reflexology. Then mom asked him, can you see a little or probably a blur vision? He answered No, not even a little. He mention he lost his vision when he was little bout 4-5 years old.
Well, it was an encouragement to see people with physically disability doing their very best out of their life. Looking at the bright side do the best; out of their best capability. With that, I reflect on my life and think how blessed am I to be made by God perfect in His eyes. Still we complaint our hair is not smooth enough, fat, thin, eyes too small, mouth too big, nose not pointed enough, etc. Also we complain when things are not comfortable, money not enough to buy and enjoy the things we want. We always want a bigger pay cheque, bigger car, bigger house, latest handphone technology, latest designer clothes but we do sometimes need to stop chasing all that and give yourself a break! To see things from a different perspective, and start counting our blessings. I personally would like to Thank God for many things He has done in my life. Although my dad passed away few days before I was born, I have never felt lack of love.
So my last words will be, stop complaining, count your blessings! Have some Love ya’ al’!
