New Tricks with New Treats!

October 16, 2008 - 4:07 pm No Comments

I think I am good with sentences that rhymes! I came to know about this some time back but did not put it into any usage but just a laugh off. I came to finally realize it 2 years back when I met my current boyfriend and we use to talk and laugh about it together. Still not but into any use, we have lots of it that come into our minds, even with long sentences, since 2 brains is better than 1 :) That’s call “Synergy” Right? haha, anyways, here and now I have this blog and I think I should write down more of this starting from now on. At least when I read back, I know and I can proof I have thought of this before! And who knows, maybe someone who find out and appreciates this talent, it might be useful for poem writing, novels, articles, motivational books, nursery rhymes and even songs, all kind of music genres infact! =)

Ya, about this New Tricks with New Treats, since I was kinda free yesterday other than taking naps and medics, i have a little spare time and energy for my little doggie “Roxy”! And it has been some time that we have not thought her any new tricks. Everyone at home is asking how to teach her rollover and playdead? I has been long procrastinated while I read about it in Penang 2 weeks back and she’s not getting any younger, the older a dog is the harder it will be for her to learn. Guess same goes to human beings. But for dogs its harder when their hormone influence. Since Roxy is still a puppy so I Need to take advantage of this time to teach her a few more tricks! :)

I had this policy as far as 6 months ago, to teach Roxy with every new trick that I want to teach, I’ll get her some new treats :) So after a few rounds to teaching her how to “PlayDead” she finally got it and a treat of “rawhide, wrap around with real chicken meat” is given to her! We got four of it, for RM6, which they calculate by per 100 grams.

Roxy learns tricks really fast! But there have to be treats available ;) It takes her about a week to master 1 trick but daily practice is needed to master a trick. Next its gonna be rollover….which is gonna be quite natural after playdead is mastered! I wanted to teach the command “Bang!” instead of “Playdead” for the play dead trick, but seems that when i say command “Bang!” she automatically jump up instead of play dead! haha, so i opt. for the “Playdead” command instead. haha, guess the high tone quirks her up :)

According to mom she sneezed a few times yesterday, probably is because I spread some flu virus to her? :P

Men are physically stronger than women

October 15, 2008 - 4:46 am No Comments

Or should I rephrase it to be “Most men are physically stronger than women” ? Hehe…i believe the statement is more accurate after rephrasing it. Cos some mens are weaklings too :)

Recently went to this company trip, which I was part of the organizing team which consists of four of us. 2 guys and 2 gals. We were going round the island, going thru all the 10 pit stops we have for the Ah-Ma-Sing race prepared for the whole company people to enjoy later during the weekend. It was tough as things did not go smoothly as the way we planned, the “Air Hangat” was closed and under renovation and after that it rained terribly heavy and we were not able to go up the seven wells and cable car entrance.

We planned every night discussing on what we want them to do at every pit stop, putting all things together, arranging which pit stop to go first and plan on each clues, which marshall team to be at which stops and many more..we slept like almost 2am each nite and wakeup like 7.30-8am to get things started.

So at the end we suffer the consequences of falling ill, after many days and night with insufficient rest, getting caught in rain and energy drained. (haha it rhymes!)

As why i say men are physically stronger than women? Because at the end both us gals fallen ill quite seriously, i had first diarhea (because of the highway food!!!!stupid malays!), then flu and cough came and fever came by! And i need to rest 2 days after fighting for 2 days at work right after the trip. Well other than that I am sure to carry weights/things, guys still have the advantage over women because of the hormone testosterone, which makes their muscles grow easily even with the same weight repetition a lady would do.

Though the 2 guys fallen with some minor sore throat but after getting enough rest they are healed! :) Anyway, it was hardwork for the 4 of us, because we not only organize the Ah-Ma-Sing race but somewhat as the trip organizer as we need to take care of them on the way back taking the ferry and bus headcount and most of all it’s all for FREE out of goodwill and initiative to help the company save money. We can become Event Organizer! haha….but yet people still complaint, well i guess we can’t please everyone, there tend to be some who will complaint! Well, I am not a people pleaser and that’s not my job, so who cares! As long as we have did our best as far as we are concern. To what I think those people who complain, why not take up the task and proof it you can do better job!

There are a few words I would like to add to this post, if you would like to compare men and women in terms of who is stronger emotionally? I bet no one of you who would disagree with me if I say “Women!” Well, cos that’s the fact, women are naturally born to have more patient (but not to be tested to the max, as the consequences might be to give up!) to have more emotionally endurance, as what had been given since the beginning of time when man sin against God at the Garden of Eden, women need to endure the pain of giving birth and men would need to work hard to provide for the family. But in this 21st century, seems like both men and women need to go through working hard to provide for the family, while men does not need to endure the pain of birth giving, but technology have advanced and we have Cesarean for giving birth which the pain comes only after that during the healing process. So no point arguing further or debating further as this debate will not end =) So stay cool and do what you do best and keep moving and looking forward and stay positive and happy in life, cos you only Live Once!

Understanding Stress

October 7, 2008 - 11:45 pm No Comments

Was reading this article through Star Metro Classified today, that would always be my favorite column to read. A short and sweet article that most of the time a small dose of lesson for me to learn for the day and it is mostly related to sales and marketing where it is the line that I am in. I believe in life, we practise selling and marketing in some part of our lives. Selling and marketing can be described; such as convincing one party with comments, facts or your plain opinion.

Sometimes in life, you need to accept that people look at things differently than you do. Do you know that stress can either make or ruin your day? It all depends on how you take stress/ how you take other people’s opinion. People tend to judge, people tend to feel differently from you, people set high expectations (depending on that person’s priority) . Well, there are many reasons why people get stressed. Dealing with other people is on of the main causes of negative stress. Dealing with customers, your boss, the people who work for you and other colleagues can be extremely stressful.

I continually hear comments like: “Why does he want me to do that?” or “How am I supposed to know what she’s thinking?” or “Why do they behave like that?” We can get extremely stressed when people don’t see things the way we do. Well, let me make something really clear- other people don’t see things the way you or U do and they might never do. God has made us all unique, born with unique physical features, different character and personality, even twins are different! Every human being is different, but some of us share similar tastes and values and that’s why we become friends. However, as you well know, even your closes friends and the person you share you life with, still see the world differently from you.

Your customers, your boss, your staffs, your colleagues all see the world and situations differently from you – and they’re not necessarily doing or saying something just to annoy you! In any situation, there will be “the way I see it”, “the way you see it” and “the way it is”

If I have meet someone, I am always on time (the way I see it). Some people who meet me always turn up late (the way they see it). It’s up to me to make allowances for this when making an arrangement to meet these people (the way it is).

There is absolutely no point in getting stressed over the fact that these people don’t see timekeeping in the same way I see it. Getting stressed is bad for me and it doesn’t change the situation. When you are dealing with other people, think to yourself: “Do they decide how I’ll behave or do I decide how I’ll behave?”

Let me tell you a quick story. Two men used to leave the same office every night and walk to the bus stop. On the way, one of the men would stop and buy a newspaper from a news-stand at the side of the road. The old man who ran the news-stand was always grumpy and ill-mannered. However, the man who bought the newspaper was always polite and courteous to the old man. One evening the man’s friend said: “I don’t understand why you’re always so polite and courteous to that guy, he’s always so rude.” The other man replied: “I will not allow that man’s behavior to decide mine. I will decide my own behavious and I’ll always treat him with courtesy and respect how he behaves is up to him.”

So don’t let you customers or anyone else “stress you out”. Just remember, they just see the world in a different way! =) Stay Happy always, with a Stress Free mindset! ;)
