Banner at the Cinema Entrance

By looking at this advertisement banner, what do you understand from it? My understanding is “If you bought your tickets online, you are able to enjoy a 50% discount on selected popcorn combo when you want to purchase a popcorn combo at the snacks counter” (Which i believe that is why they have the banner ad placed up before you go to the ticket counter and the snacks counter.)

BUT the Reality is….#1 the staffs know nuts about this promotion when we show them our tickets are bought online #2 They say you need to make the pre-purchase of the popcorn combo online! (Where there is NO option / shopping cart to purchase snacks / popcorns online) I made a comment and highlighted it to the staff, but the staff just say “oh sorry i’m not sure about that, and that is the second time i hear that answer from my 5 minutes of standing there”

That’s not all about TGV Cinema!! (Oh btw, I’m referring to the one at Sunway Pyramid) There was a huge crowd of people waiting and there were alot of Indonesian students around and its just different from the normal GSC 1U / Mutiara Damansara Cineplex crowd. We were there to catch a Saturday midnight movie of the famous X-Men Origins: Wolverine which was suppose to be a good movie. And after all the messiness of getting into the cinema and the bad experience at the counter, guess what?? OMG #3 the seats….Imagine this my ankles, yes you got me right, my Ankles were at the same level as the person’s head in front of me and i was wearing a dress!! Gawd…luckily i got a cardigan with me to cover my legs. But man, such horrible unpleasant seatings!

#4 here comes the highlight of the cinema “jeng, jeng, jeng” the pre-screened was lopsided to the right, one quarter off the actual screen and was blurred! (making you a little drousy) It went on for about 5 mins, hoping the technicians will rectify it but unfortunately not and people starts making noise. Finally, action was taken, it was off, curtains closed, curtains open again repeat the starting again. This happened repeatedly for 3 – 4 times to get things right into perspective!

Well i just wanted to say it was a really bad experience for us, since our first movie date was here and its so near my house we wanted to watch a movie there again, also they kinda shifted higher up and probably some renovations done. But after this HORRIBLE experience! I will never watch any movies at TGV Cinemas again! Boycotting them!!! Rather watch at the comfort of my home! (Luckily the movie was good! ) That is the only thing good for that night

The four

Was an impromptu thing for me but a new experience all together which is what i see working people or i should say young working people do since my teenage days. And here i am being in the position, doing the same thing, the way i see them do it when i was younger.

4 of us at dinner, with Jacky’s friend which we went for her wedding dinner on the weekends in Kajang. Guess its been a long meet up and being college mate, crazy things they’ve done together. Everyone has it, don’t we? moreover theirs in Langkawi….woo hoo…how nice studying in an island and to add to it is duty free!! Gosh..i wonder if they study there?

That’s what you do when you’re a little tipsy and to get rid of it, you do silly things like posing for a kissing pose when you didn’t actually kiss, haha…Gotcha! And all of a sudden i remember I’ve not made a cab booking for our flight to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah rest, relax and sight seeing trip.

We drove ourselves back safely after that, its a surprise for me that i can drink more than a glass of beer (i’m a very light drinker) still sober enough to drive myself back. Well its really tired and i’ve not pack my bags for the vacation and catch an early morning flight. Slept @ 2am, woke-up 7+am.

But i crazily did that while i was in Denbosch, NL, first time looking out the window with “white snow” got so excited, open the window stretch my hand out to feel it!

Was awesome, some photos here, then i dress-up and prepare myself to go out and walk, just to experience it. It was freaking cold and i didn’t know where i was heading just walking around the neighbourhood and experience how’s the 10am daily lives of the Dutch.

There were alot in their bicycles as it was the cheapest way to transport themselves, and i head myself to the end of the town where the canal leads to. Where this little statue looking out too, its probably a river then the sea.

Looking back at the photos, the weather is really gloomy, blue, rainy, wet, cold, no wonder they all look forward to spring =) And here you can view more the blooming of Spring, where Love is in the Air, birds chirping, bees looking for honey, parks are filled with lovebirds, couple kissings. I told him that i’ve never experience spring before and this is what he explains to me “bright warm sunny days”. Over the weekend while he was walking at the park, he remembered me and took these photos specially for me. Things are a little bit pricey for a “casual italian cuisine” and after looking at the menu for a long-time when everyone arrives, it didn’t have Lamb cutlets that i’ve been eyeing on for an hour or so. Well was too hungry to take any photos of the food that comes, i would give it a 6/10 as it is not as tasty as Italianese (The ceasar salad tastes great, yummy!)

Oh at the end, it was actually a gathering for one of his colleagues birthday, there were 4 couples there that day including us. After the sumptuous meal, the desert comes to complete it all, its like a more than enough calories for the day!

And the specialty of this restaurant name “Coconut House” is mainly on the wood fire taken to baked the pizzas, nice cozy restaurant with wood fire and open concept kitchen. (Details here www.coconut-house.com) This is their second branch, with the main branch located in Malacca. It seems the owner of this restaurant is a book author and a composer with all kinda old song CD collections available in the restaurant.

We ended about 5.30pm it was really a whole day event, half-day gone! And we headed to Digital Mall again!! For three consecutive weekend!! But this time is just for a small gadget, the keyboard to complete the “techie crave”! And we bump into Wilson who now consider himself a “PJ-lang”

Was way better than the previous episode, this is with good story line, but heard some people say its not nice. Well i guess 1 movie can’t please everyone Best of all i was sitting in the middle of the most back seat, great position to feel as if you’re driving and moving along with the cars =) Just that the seats are not moving like “Motion Master” we use to ride back then at Genting Highlands.

The four main characters, who never dies but no 1 died in this episode. The storyline was not too bad, as it was showing the border between Mexico and US, its so very near. I believe one of my colleague who went for this movie night together can identify much closer to the movie due to his recent trip to ICANN, Mexico. What more to ask for when there’s a muscular guy and a cute guy acting in 1 movie?

Food for thought before the movie-

Double boiled - Coconut chicken soup!

Was yummy, but too rush and i burnt my tongue, cost RM7.50 per coconut but i think is worth it with alot of chicken meat and herbs boiled. Will wanna eat there again very soon! Location: Somewhere like Jalan Imbi behind Times Square on the left.

However in this modern day contacts, I am not sure how many young people would know all the rituals unless they have been practicing it year in, year out following their parents practices. Even if they do, would they know the logic behind it?

For me it is a time of remembrance of your loved ones whom you have much loved, live life with, and reminiscence on good times spent during the person’s live on this earth. It has been a few weeks that I heard is “Cheng Beng” and I asked my mom if we needed to go put some flowers on my Grandma’s cemetery as a sign of remembrance to her. As Christians, things are pretty simple and straight forward, what’s important is the sincerity from the heart and the time spent to just go pay a visit and replace the old flowers. I believe she is now watching us from heaven above and having a better life there than here on earth. Where heaven have no tears and no pain. So this afternoon, I bought some daisies and chrysanthemum along the way preparing for a visit to the PJ Christian cemetery.

My simple flower arrangement, looks pretty fresh and brightens up the environment isn’t it? hehe Just realize i bought too many and the left overs were brought back home for simple dining table deco. (I realize I am turning to become a more homely person, would love to cook and bake some day ) It was also in conjunction with Good Friday and Easter, it reminds me that our life on earth is just temporary and we will one day be reunited with God with our heavenly bodies while our body on earth will turn back to dust and fade away.

One thing i realize looking at the photos i took this afternoon, is that, my grandma is also “staying” at house number 21! Which she was supposedly shift in with us to our Subang house on Nov 2006, but sadly she didn’t make it through. Being there made me realize how time past so quickly and she has been gone for more than 2.5 years now. Our last visit was about 6 months ago, during the 2 year anniversary.

From my last trip to the office, there have grown quite alot, in terms of the number of employees and the best thing is that people there are very friendly! The same goes to their office in Amsterdam and best of all their pantry has lotsa goodies…hehe…from fruits, drinks, and chocolates! Ops, before i go out of topic…i was suppose to be talking about PC Fair!!

So last week, we bought a LCD monitor, and this time around to get the All-in-one printer, which we find a fax at home will make things much more convenient But instead Jack already bought his gadget that he way eyeing on last week. But again, this was a good bargain! Damn…spending alot these days – Blame it on the sales! haha…

How the lightning strike these days are really scary, was raining heavily and my mom was watching the Chinese drama series via her PC and the right side of the PC, monitor, phone, router, modem are facing the main wooden door and Boom! the lightning strike in as the wooden door is normally open for airing purpose. Mom thanking God that she wasn’t standing in front of the door looking out! These days KL are facing alot of weird massive lightning and loud thunder storms (is it due to Global warming?)

Walking through the Digital Mall, looking for a modem and we were also planning to get a LCD monitor for a long-long time, waiting anxiously for the prices to drop Supposedly to get it next week during PC fair, but with much hesitation walking around the mall up and down, we decided to take the 22′ Super HD Widescreen LCD home

This has made Jacky’s day and guess what it comes with a consequence, which made his attention focus solely on his LCD monitor, but at least i get to share the joy of not squinting my eyes watching via the laptop. Craving and talking about it for more than a year, finally from a 15′ CRT monitor to a Full HD, 20,000:1 LCD flatscreen monitor with internal speaker, is definitely worth the wait and money well spent!

It was already drizzling, and we just found the location of this Digital Mall after lunch in SS2, and indeed before we complete 1 round looking for parking, we Found a parking! A miracle simply reminded with a simple prayer acknowledging that God is there! Answering my prayer Love Him!

My friend simply reply me saying “It is a way of Him telling you, He’s still there!”

Plane breaks into 3 pieces!

Isn’t it scary? Imagine if you were in the flight! I’m sure its all panicky, and screaming aloud, but I think prior to that I would have say my prayers quietly in my heart. Thinking back I always do that, during both take off and landing. Specially with budget airlines when things are not that stable, it always feels better after a prayer is whispered. (Haha, cos sometimes it feels like a roller-coster ride – minus the screaming )

Due to the time difference, it was on the newspaper frontpage on Thursday morning, only then i got to know about it. Malaysia time about 4pm only, Jack came online and got to know from him that they already knew it on Wednesday itself, as it happens NL time about 10-11am. And on Thursday morning, I was teasing one of colleague who will be departing for ICANN, Mexico on Friday nite, via KLM transit in Amsterdam, Schiphol and the crash just happened! haha…freaky

2.5 months ago I was at the Schiphol, Amsterdam airport too, so I could imagine the fear I would have got if this recent case just happened! In the Turkish Airline crash, if I am not mistaken none of the Cabin Crew survived, not even the pilot or co-pilot. I guess they thought everything is going to be just fine as any other day, part and parcel of their daily job, but who would have thought? “Cabin Crew, please be seated, we are preparing for landing” That’s what the Pilot/co-pilot would announce about 15mins prior to the landing. As announced today, after the Dutch investigation, “Found that faulty altimeter caused the plane’s autopilot to shut down the engines as it made its approach to land. The Boeing 737-800 crashed a kilometre short of the runway, killing nine people on board. The plane’s black box showed that the altimeter also malfunctioned during two previous landings.” (Reports extracted from “www.dw-world.de”)

So afterall, I have decided it is not a safe dream job!
