Two Siberian Huskies Shot
Was browsing through facebook, me and Roxy alone at home, always wanted to bring her to meet some other Siberian Husky’s who live around Subang. Did some research, and remembered a friend who recently got a Husky too. Buzz her on facebook for a meet up and browse around for more Sibes around and decided to join some Siberian Husky group in fb.
Coincidently found something interesting which caught my attention most, which is about 2 Siberian Huskies were shot several times by this man who thought they were wolves came to attacked his herd of cows. They were shot on the back, leg and one of them right in the Eye! They merely survived, but I think with Sibes fighting spirit they hold-on and survived, even with 1 eye removed. More information available here http://www.dogster.com/dogs/797639 and video here http://www.wftv.com/news/17537877/detail.html . The owner was protesting and file a law suit against the shooter.
Well, just some sharing on this breed. They may look fierce and sometimes they are fierce (which dog has no temperament?, even human has, and it’s animal instinct) But generally, they are not guard dogs and they are not attackers, the work with/for human! They are known as working dogs, full of energy and strong spirit to run for miles, that is build in their genes. With generations having been in contact with human on a daily basis, this makes them very attached to humans too. Basically they want to be your friend, whenever there are strangers, they get so excited with new faces. Nevertheless, they are strong dogs, which can pound at you and pull you. I wish one day i could have a toy car in an enclosed area, and Roxy and pull me around. Better still sledge me to work…haha, that’s only possible if I’m in Alaska I guess
