Gloomy Monday mornin’ in SQ

November 10, 2008 - 11:30 pm No Comments

Woke-up at 5.30am, wash-up, dress-up, make-up done ready by 5.50am, checkout some appointments made and note down the contact number&addresses. And at 6am my boss came and pick me up, so kind of him to pick me up, so far this is the first time boss came pickme, normally i need to head out earlier to their houses/office :)

Stop by had breakfast at Pagoh, then head into SQ, we reach SQ custom at bout 9.30am, it’s really fast, just 3.5hrs to reach SQ. Applied for the car Auto-pass need to top-up before go out, you can use it for parking and all the highway tolls (which you don’t need to stop) in SQ. After we pass the SQ custom, only i raised the question “Do you have enough fuel to go? and 2 mins later, the fuel light indicator lite up! Haha, people are going to laugh at us, Malaysian come Singapore to pump petrol? Really that rich bo?

Funny, but anyway, we pass by 1 petrol station along the way and that’s about it. Head our way to Sun Tech City…just go straight using our instinct and memory..we came without a map *ahem* Just took 1 wrong turning and we reached our destination :) It was a rainy, gloomy Monday morning. It was raining whole day, drizzling, never stop even till the time we left SQ. At that point we were going out, we were worried on the fuel, don’t wish to get stalled and end-up pushing the car. There were signs asking Singaporeans to top-up their fuel but there were no petrol kiosk, can you imagine? Pass Jurong and no sign was given we were up on the highway, and if you turn out on the left there is 1 Shell, but hack where are their marketing skills man? Got more worried when we were approaching the SQ custom and this time around the security were tighten, the driver needs to get out of the car and scan their thumb print. And we were telling ourselves while passing the bridge, by now we turned off the air-cond to save fuel while we were going up the slope, crossing our fingers, because i know right after we pass Msia kastam, we’ll have lotsa Petrol station ;) Hehe! We Made It! Its really hard to find petrol station in SQ, so next time if any of you going, please pump full tank when you have your meals at the R&R area, hehe unless you want to get worried.

Yea, just had little time to walk around Sun Tech City while waiting for my boss, after meeting. Winter Time was just setting up their booth at the Centre Court, but just yesterday we’ve bought all our Winter Clothings. Manage to checkout the pricing and compare; not much difference after conversion but seems to have more choices, say a knitted hat, quite nice cost bout SGD18-SGD22, not worth it :) So we left bout 5pm with no “earnings” but just an Almond Croissant, cos not sure what time dinner and I’m already low in energy, keep having sweet stuff to pump-up the energy level!

November 9, 2008 - 11:36 pm No Comments

Early morning, as early as 5.30am I need to wake-up and get ready for a journey to Singapore with my boss. Well, this is not the first time, have experienced this many times now. I estimate we will be back earliest tomorrow at 10.30pm? Well depending on what time we leave SQ and the traffic along the way. And the next day, no difference still need to go work before 10am :) What do you think of my job? Hehe, and I am going to sleep NOW!!!

Shop til’ we drop

November 9, 2008 - 11:31 pm No Comments

Yup, this weekend is all about shopping, researching and spending money. I know u must be saying economy is not good now and etc, probably things came at a wrong time and it came at a rush! Don’t understand what I am saying? Well, let me explain…

Less than a week ago, Jack got to know from his company that he will be sent to Den Bosch, Netherlands for a month! And we have never experience winter before, the reason why i say “we” is because me too taking this opportunity to join him during his last week in Den Bosch :) Then we can tour Europe together. So everything been confirmed then we need to decide the day we are to fly back and that caused some raise of voices. Now i understand that “rush” feeling in planning.

Yup, weekend is the only time we have to shop for Winter clothings, have not researched on those clothing before and the most well-known are only 2 in Malaysia, Winter Time and Universal Traveller. Went looking around, first was Friday nite, short time in Pyramid after dinner, Sat, 1U after collecting my medical report! (Yays! I am all healthy ;) hehe, so we head for crabs and seafood for dinner in Puchong, with no returns from 1U except for a couple of socks. Then Today is the best, we concluded everything by researching Sungei Wang for my pair of soft-leather boots and Winter Time for the size we reserved. And man, sales at Winter Time was good! The shop was so mess-up with their cloths and so many customers was around, so we got 2 long-johns, 1 jacket+wind-breaker, 1 sweater, a pair of gloves, and a vacuum bag, and Man, it cost near to 1K, never knew that going for a trip during Winter is not an easy task! Luckily for his GOOD company (sorry for the emphasizing) But i think i need to emphasize it, cos a big portion of these spending is sponsored by the company. (I’m wondering if my company do provide sponsors on winter clothing is they would to send me overseas during Winter) ; well probably they won’t even send me, cos i don’t have those clothings :P

So there’s the 2 days spent walking around shopping malls, I realize that there’s actually less people hanging around shopping malls now. There are more malays instead of chinese, surprisingly. I think people are now very conscious about their spendings with the unstable economic around the globe. I am not sure if I made the right choice to go to Europe again. With me spending a bomb in June for my Paris trip and now, Netherlands and other parts of Europe? Well, I would like to thank my boss for letting me go and clear all my leaves despite of the many leaves i’ve taken this year…hehe :) I’ve earned it anyway! And also pressure is given to hit target after my holidays, since sales is not so promising that last quarter of the year.

Hope things will turn out better in beginning of 2009!
