Food Food and more good food…Indulge…

September 30, 2008 - 2:22 am No Comments

Hehe, as usual which state in Malaysia has the best good food around and most of all at very cheap prices ;)

Where else, it is all in Penang! Make sure you have a big enough stomach to take 2 plates of hawker food and also your stomach is not that sensitive! Because the food comes in all kind of varieties! From finger food to sweet and sour dishes, such as Asam Laksa! sslurrp…yummy! This make my mouth waters.

But this time around, we went for something on a higher end, such as western and authentic Japanese food.

Alright, first let me bring you some ice-creams cakes on a rainy day…ooo so cold it feels like autumn :) hehe and still we went out to grab baskin robin’s ice-cream cake. The ice-cream flavor for the cake is “World of Chocolate” Yes, it is with Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate! Yummy! (ops…its so sinful) :P

Once the cake was cut, no pic was taken…cos all was too busy to grab a piece of cake ;)

Rain, Rain and Raining

September 29, 2008 - 7:04 pm No Comments

It’s been 2 full days since it rained non-stop. Starts with some drizzles, then some heavy pours and drizzles again for the whole day. This happens during my trip in Penang, well is good in a way that made our one week stay in Penang more cooling. As normally the weather would be hot and humid.

Well, its kinda strange for me, because before that in KL it did not rain as such, at least it has some sunny days. In Penang, there is a lot of “vegetarian” campaign food stalls available, with bright yellow tent, then i was saying “Hmm…Penang people very “heng” (popular) with vegetarian food / people are very devoted in taking vegetarian meal” Only later i came to find out that it is “Gao Wong Ye Tan” (Nine Yellow god Festival) And no wonder it was raining non-stop, it happens almost every year that during this festival there would be rain for 9 days without fail. But not to the extend that it rained non-stop la :) Else KL would flood…

Even today the day is gloomy, good for sleeping ;) Well, lucky for me I am having a one week break~ ! lalala…

Whatever it is Just Charge it!

September 24, 2008 - 4:25 am No Comments

Work, work, work. Frustration, frustration, frustration. Politics, politics, politics! Doesn’t this applies to all jobs? No matter you are working for someone or you are your own boss, you will experience the 3 words i mentioned above! Well, face it, this is the world that we are living in! No matter what religion, what race, management level, executive level or a plain clerk, we are all stuck with it!

Argh…sometimes you just wish you could break out of it and BREAKFREE! I wanna Breakfree…ops i’m singing already ;)

Now I believe in initial planning, of what you do is very important, also the importance of documentation. Because all talk and all do with no records brings no good, cos human has very limited and short term memory power on details. Specially these days when you need to juggle between work and home, can’t imagine if you have kids etc…huh…scary wei!! Therefore, whatever that you are doing think twice before going on with it. Don’t do things 90% complete and 80% satisfied, because at the end of the day alot people will need to pickup the shit behind it. So you either do it 100% of don’t even freaking think of starting it!

If you just want to do it either because you need to, you have to, or you just want to start it at the end of the day your business is half past six! Neither here nor there…haha Well guess that is the difference between the Asian companies and the Western companies. Well not to say Westerns are perfect but I have really seen systems that is really impressive, having robots talking to you as if you think it is a human behind it. And most importantly when they do something they are really committed and be very sure to do it. You can blame it on our education system? Well, hopefully this will all change in this new more knowledgeable human race, the younger generation :)

Sex and the City Movie

Sex and the City Movie, Carrie Bradshaw

Get Carried Away by Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City Movie

Indeed i was carried away, eventhough I have yet to finish the entire movie because it is already 4am on a Sunday morning. It is a 2hr 30min movie and I will continue it with my babe later.

I was watching it alone on my laptop and I was really feeling it. As if I am one of the four characters :) Now I really admire Candace Bushnell the author of the book Sex and the City. This is how she looks like, just in case you are not aware of the lady who has all our thoughts pen down and now in movies.

She's a Hot Mamma isn't she?

She is a Hot Mamma isn't she?

It has been some time that I had watched any movie that made me cry, but this really brought tears to my eyes to see how 4 friends have been so supportive of each other. Which they are practically family, whilst these girls have always been there whenever either one of them was down. Specially the part where Carrie was really down after her wedding with Big was called off! Can you imagine her first and only dream wedding about to come thru was call off this way when everything was publicized widely by modeling various styles and designer wedding gowns and the last one is really beautiful, haven’t really got hold of the name yet.

I realize now how friends is really important but we as Asians is a little different, I don’t think we can find such true friends, because family is more important than friends? There are a lot of times where we are closer to our family where our problems are shared and alot of times where our shameful things are shared secretively where we are afraid that our friends would judge us. But in this 4 friends, is not, everything is shared very frankly and honestly, at least for most of the time :) When the time is right ;) Meanwhile you have another to console in/ to tell.

Alrightey, tell you more when i finish watching the movie ;) ! Hehe another hour to go!

Parking is like Gold!

September 20, 2008 - 5:15 pm No Comments

These days in Malaysia, when you manage to find a parking lot, it will be like “gold rush” Rush for it!Go! Go! go! before someone else gets there, you must be faster than them! And there i was go round in circles looking for parking in Pyramid, must be very careful (driving bf’s car) so up till i reach the roof top!

Parked, went to eat Manhattan Fish Market with mom, not early dy and i eat so slow then no enough time to shopping. Then suppose to meet Nianci at 10.30pm at Kopitiam, and everything was in place! Got 2 pairs of earrings, and a pair of shoes, money gone once you go out, then go pay for car park then “Hurray!” we are STUCK in a Jam! which is a Crazee jam! IT just wouldn’t move, not even an inch for about 15mins, then i stopped the car engine and waited in the car instead.

According to passerby who was fedup with the jam and decided to park their car and go back into the shopping (probably go for coffee), it was jam along the road outside of Pyramid. Then 45mins later stuck in the car, made some phone calls and message it started to inch a bit and my appointment was forced to be cancelled, cos i’ll be like 1 hour late and people have finish their food by now!

Then as i rolled down the carpark floor by floor, slowly (cos too many cars) and having to know that Pyramid has about 600+ carparks available now, and when i reach the dividing road to subang / to KL the road were crystal clear to subang side, just a little congested to KL side…not sure what happened! WHO HAS CAUSED THE JAM??? Back without an answer.
